If he keeps acting out on booked jobs, it's going to get back to his agent and he may not be sent out as often. Time is money in this busiess and, even though your son is only 2 1/2, they don't want him wasting their time/money. Usually, on jobs with babies/toddlers, they'll book 2 or 3 kids for the job in case the first choice is being difficult, sleepy, crying, etc....
I'm wondering something, though.... do YOU get nervous/on edge before taking him to a job? If he's fine/happy on auditions, there's no reason he shouldn't be on the actual job. If you're overly anxious or nervous or on-edge, he could be picking that vibe up from you and it's throwing him off.
