Hello i was wondering what was the legal age an actor can be left on set alone without an adult. By that i mean it can go to the booking but without an adult is it 16 or 18 or what?

I believe it's 18, but when I'm on set (indies) there has been under 18s who look older than 18, but the talent wrangler says they the prod co. won't be responsible for them. They have to look out for themselves and act responsible and professional.

I think it's 16 recalling a discussion on PARF about it. Of course at 18 they can go alone. You can always check with your agent or even production to be sure in individual cases. However, with my kids, if under 18, I have often had to sign releases, etc. so you might have to go for the first day til the paperwork is complete.

Since they can drive at 16 but can't sign for themselves till 18 I can see that a signed waiver would be in order. I too see teens on set without parents.
Since DS is 15 we will have this discussion next year....
