How many times did you submit/submit your child to agencies before getting an interview or signed?

For some people it happens on their first submission and they get multiple offers. For others it can take years. There is no formula for it. It really depends on a combination of so many variables: Age, sex, experience, location, look, timing and LUCK. There is also the fact of how many similar kids like yours the agency you are submitting to already has etc. etc.
One common thing I have seen is that younger kids get picked up easier than older kids and boys are the most in demand. Then add in all the other variables.

My son must be one of the lucky ones we submitted to a few then chose which one we wanted to work with. So I guess the initial submission was it for us.

we researched ahead of time and only submitted to our top choice. they invited us in a week later and invited her onboard at that meeting. She was an infant at that time though so I don't know if the experience is different for parents of older kids or if the business has changed in the past 3 years.

Oh correction I did submit to Willy kids a couple of years ago and last year... NO response. So I guess that counts as a big fat NO thank you. Then this year when we were ready it was a nice yes Wink But not to Willy Kids to another agency. We didn't submit to them this year.

Depending upon what you are submitting for, your experience could vary immensely. Are you askign about print, commercial or legit? A kid who gets signed immediately for print may never get signed for commercial or legit. A kid may get signed for commercial, but never for legit...etc.
