This has probably been a topic of discussion before so forgive me for not being able to find the appropriate link...

What is your advice on not getting a PRINT go see call from your agency when you suspect your child fits the breakdown? I totally trust our agency and feel like if I call and ask them about a certain go see, they may get the feeling I don't think they're doing their job. I don't want that because I don't feel that way. Things do happen and if my child did, for whatever reason, get overlooked, they might appreciate the phone call...or not? For auditions (TV, Film, etc..) I understand many factors apply and it's not just the agency's decision on who goes in for the audition. I'm just talking about the print go sees where agencies send most everyone who fits the breakdown (for example, BRU, H&M, TRU, etc...) because the breakdown is very broad. In the whole scheme of things it's not earth shattering at all to be left out of a print go see or two! I was just curious what what you all do, if anything at all. Thank you in advance for your opinions! flygal

i wouldn't call, i have always been advised not to call. i feel that my dd has been passes over for jobs as well, but there must be a reason. the agency says they send out all potential for any job they fit the breakdown for...they can't make money unless you are out working. so for whatever the reason they didn't want you to waste your time on these go sees. if you are happy in general, then don't fret..if not, start looking for another agent.

Flygal, I can relate to you, however, babeedee has a great point and you are not the only one out there who has experienced this. Those of us with more than one child in print and/or commercial see this with our own kids. One will get called but not the others though they seem to fit the breakdown. Guess we have to trust our agents that they know what they are doing and want to make money for themselves so if our kids fit then they will send them. Smiler
