SPOILER>>>>> I will mention the name of the winner below.... if you don't want to know, stop here!

MCKENZIE won!
They said that she & her mom took all the constructive criticism offered and improved every single week. They were always open to suggestions, etc.....

They also loved Cheyenne, but they said she was too much of "one character"... for example, she didn't allow herself to go with the flow and be different people or act in different ways. They also said her mother never took responsibility for anything that went wrong.

I think both girls were great but, applying the rules of the game, they chose the right kid to win.

I wonder what's going to happen now? The series was very short. I wonder if they've already taped 2 or 3 more seasons? I also wonder if we'll see McKenzie or Cheyenne in anything "big" since McKenzie got the contract with Markie Costello and Cheyenne got a bunch of exposure.

I had no interest in watching this, but came across it yesterday while flipping channels. It was the last one and I couldn't stop watching Wink. I thought it was a great lesson for stage parents everywhere.

Just a little post-script to this show. I know most of you are based in NYC, so I thought I would offer a little LA context:

--Danny is a has-been who has a Sirius talk radio show (hardly mainstream). He has no ability to make anyone in this town a star. Actually, he own daughter has been pursuing showbiz for years (used to see her at commercial auditions alot), and he hasn't made HER a star!

--Marki is not really a respected casting director (she doesn't cast scripted things--just smarmy reality shows), nor is she a kid's manager with ANY experience in guiding a kids' career to success. Her clients are pretty low level and I can't see that she has any "connections", other than to few questionable "scouting" businesses. She can't make anyone a star. Not to mention, she is a scary chick, and IMO, should not be allowed around children.

--The casting calls for this show had some pretty clear "hints" as to what the show was going to be about. There was no way anyone would look good at the end. Such is the case with ALL reality shows. These kids didn't "win" the chance to be on the show, they were just the kookiest people that would make good TV. The rest of the sane stage moms wouldnt' touch this casting with a ten foot pole.

--To my knowlege, they have not filmed more seasons of this. Thank goodness. But if VH-1 is true to form, they will show it over and over and over for the next couple of years (I did a news show for them that continues to show every week--it was filmed 3 years ago--some news! LOL)

The final two:
Cheyenne has been working for years, and she already had a solid agency and manager. So she wouldn't have been able to take the contract with Marki (a punishment, not a prize). She was in the American Girl show in LA. She did the Bonaduce show against the advice of her reps. This show has done serious damage to the "OK" career she had going. I'll be surprised if she can overcome it.

Mackenzie was a true newbie, so the competition wasn't exactly fair on that front. My information is that she did NOT take the contract with Marki and went back home to persue her career. Which makes her the biggest winner in my book! So glad they won.

Hi HenryShowBiz!

I'm glad you mentioned that about Marki.... when I watched the show, I used to think to myself, she looks/talks like a mean b*tch and I don't think I'd want her around my daughter, no less representing her!

I remember seeing the casting calls for this and similar shows (ie: Dr. Phil). I always wonder if people realize they're just looking for loonies who will bring in ratings. I don't know why anyone with even a tiny bit of experience would get involved in something like this.

VH-1 is definitely famous for repeating things over and over! Every Sunday afternoon, they show the same old stuff.... 100 Most Outrageous TV Moments; 100 Cutest Child Stars; 100 Cutest Child Stars All Grown Up; blah, blah, blah.....

I hope Cheyenne will be able to make a comeback from this.... It's not her fault that her mother got her involved in the show.

I'm glad McKenzie's mother took her home and opted not to take representation from Marki. I'm sure she'll have great successes in whatever she does.
