Ever since the advent of air travel and the Internet, there is no "East Coast and West Coast" mentality anymore. Not really. As I've said many times, ALWAYS WEAR WARDROBE THAT IS APPROPRIATE TO THE ROLE AND AGE RANGE YOU WISH TO PLAY. Fashion changes like the weather... to gain good insights on what kids are wearing, just visit a clothing store that specializes in duds for young people and simply take note of what the mannequins are wearing. That will tell you all you need to know. "Whatever works." www.robertkim.com

I tend to shy away from any clothing that reveals too much skin, particularly when shooting younger actors. But it is important to make the distinction between a sexy camisole (risque and adult) and the "cute tanks" you suggested. If your tops are cute and age-appropriate, I see no problem with them whatsoever. As to your concerns about "mind taffy," don't concern yourself too much with the term. There is only, "Whatever works." www.robertkim.com
