Could someone explain what this means. My dd has an audition for a short film. They said that they do not offer any front end compensation, but will give industry standard back end payments.

There is no such thing as an "industry standard" back-end payment. There ARE various different types of back-end deals like; a certain $ bonus upon the films' completion, a certain bonus upon video sales a certain bonus upon distribution sales Unfortunately, the actor probably won't end up seeing any of it. If they have no $$ to pay you upfront, then they have no money. If they get some down the road, they'll keep it and pay themselves.
