We've given you a lot of advice on which agencies are legitimate and how to contact them. We've given you to info on which agencies will likely be interested in infants. None of the organizations and websites you've listed were mentioned favorably, or at all, in the links we gave you. What is it you are looking for? Believe me, this list of links you've posted is nothing more than an "encyclopedia" of links to scams.

truely. i am following ALL the leads in these threads, I just have not come to that turning point yet! i realized the group that i mentioned was not the best to be working with i was hoping that if anyone happened to come across this board in a search engine like i did that they would find it more helpful here!!
i have not signed up with any of thesegroups. i was also hoping others may have info or reviews of these groups . i am sticking to the major players on this one. My infant is 4 months and she has plenty of time too grow and develop.. i realized i sounded kinda impatient but i was only joking so i tried to change the post to get some feedback .. but i have been getting a bunch of negative comments from some of the folks on this forum..
sooo whatever i think it's excellant that soo many of you are parents and can understand how frustrating it can be, and offer your support, while also motivating us that are just getting our feet wet, with your success stories. It's a competitive industry, and i know i've gotta keep pushing through it applying my knowledge with what's here, and not pay attention to the overcritical assholes in here or anywhere else!!

What exactly are you looking for? A NY agent? Acting or modeling? I dont know what you expect to accomplish from Tucson or Baltimore. You sure as heck arent going to be repped for print (or going on go-sees) by any NY agent if you are living in Tucson. Baltimore...maybe. I dont think you have any real idea what this business entails if you do not live in or near NYC. But first, state what it is you are looking for a seeking help with.

No one is being negative to you. The experienced posters on this board are just sharing that experience with you in the hope that it will save you the time you might wasts dealing with any of the "agencies" you mentioned in your original post. I sense a common theme on this board as of late -- a poster asks for our opinion of a certain group (eg. IMTA, Proscout, etc.), the knowledgable folks on this board share what they know (don't waste your time) and are attacked because the answer wasn't what the poster expected or wanted. If you don't want the opinions of others, don't solicit them. And just because they don't agree with you doesn't make them negative.

Very true Dramamama! I've been seeing the same pattern as of late. I think what some newbies dont realize is that a lot of folks here have had children in the Biz a very long time and are also repped by the big bi-coastal agencies like CESD, Abrams & Innovative. Therefore, many have seen just about every question asked or have lived through some of these issues themselves. They(we)are not going to give long winded sugar coated answers to the newbies. Simple facts suffice. This being a very competitive industry as it is, people should be thankful that more experienced posters are even willing to share tips and advice at all. Many parents of child actors wont (I know many like this). It's just more competition. So if someone is soliciting advice, I find it strange that they then turn around and chomp on the hand that is giving it to them. Some of the tips given here are really priceless and can give a tremendious edge to someone seeking representation. But se la vie! It is what it is.

I'M ASSUMING LADIES please understand i've been attacked before thats not the word i used in this particular instance, you all may not be the ones making negative comments and i do appreciate tht.( aside from freaking out about where i live .)
i have taken the time to search the boards. so please quit going pms on my ass ( some of you) a sugarcoat is not always expected. just as well i suppose some of you need a mental check for real! basically from the first post to here i think some clarification is totally needed there is no need to agree with on anything in fact i could care less about your opions on newbies altogether, it's a story that has been told from the dawn of message boards and i am not looking that great person that confirms my messege bord greatness.
it is what it is really.
thanks for trying to help me clarify myself. short fuses aside
in all sincerity i like what many of you have taken the time to do.

If you are looking for help or advice, you still havent answered the most basic question of what exactly are you asking or looking for? No one here is going "PMS" on you. Most of us are pretty mature people with older children and dont have any problem expressing ourselves in a mature and non-vulgar manner. What info is it that you are seeking?
