My daughter is just starting out and I'm wondering if I can count something she just did as her first job on a resume.
She takes a music class that is tought throughout the nation and in many other countries as well. She happens to take the class at the orgional location where all the business stuff happens.
They recently filmed a DVD that will distributed to all teachers of the class, parents who's kids are in the class, and preschool teachers who's school uses the class. It will also be sold on the website. She was asked to be in the DVD. She was in group scenes and shot a solo scene as well. She was paid in a gift certificate to their website's store. There was no audition involved. The directors chose kids from classes. No work permit was needed.
Can this go on a resume?

My dd is in a similar situation and I happened to remember this thread. Could someone please tell me how I should list her role in a children's DVD like this? She is shown dancing solo in several shots. Would she just be "child dancer"? "Solo dancer"? If I just put "child," would it seem that she was background? TIA for any help!

I would just put "featured dancer" or "solo dancer." They know she is a child.

I would list it as Featured or Featured Dancer.
