Temporary replacement teeth are called 'flippers".
You can find more info here, and on the PARF board - ask someone to bump the previous discussions.

I remember being at an audition for Koolaide and a mom had flippers for her daughter. The client ask could she put the flippers in - because audition required front teeth! Well the mom said she had to revisit the dentist to get them adjusted....she had originally paid 650.00 for the flippers and because a tooth had come in - she had to have the flipper refitted to accomodate the growing tooth.

It was so funny - she got on the elevator and said the hell if she was going to pay 350.00 for one tooth!

I was happy my dd lost her front teeth during the winter cause surly she looked like Nanny McPhee!

Good luck! I know the stress and the feeling!!

My dd dentist here in LA is amazing. The "inventor" of the flipper for the industry. (Dr. Robert Smith) Anyway, he can have a flipper done for your child in a matter of hours. They are 420 for the flipper and 1 tooth and 180 for any additional tooth. His flippers are absolutely perfect and look beautiful. What I have seen people do, as to not be out the expense unless the child books the job, is to put "flipper available" on the resume and then if they book, run and get a flipper done! They do need adjustments often as the teeth are growing in. Dr. Smith gives you 3 adjustments for free which is GREAT!! Smiler Good luck

So funny. My eight year old (at the time) had two front teeth, but the director wanted his side teeth as well. It was the first question they asked us. Turns out, his two front teeth were so big that they had him do the commercial anyway!
