I think it might be a key card. It holds all of your childs info on it so you don't have to fill out a sheet at every go see. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? If so can you give me more info. With 4 kids in the business I could definately use this! Big Grin

We went to a print casting last year sometime and filled out a form and were given a keycard (like you get from the grocery store or Duane Reed). They said whenever we came to them for a casting, we should use the key card because her comp and all her info was already stored in their system. Only thing is, we've never been back to another casting through them. But I think it is a great idea. Anything that saves me from having to use so many comp cards and keeps me from having to fill out forms each time sounds good to me! Anyway, the company was Planet Pre Pro and the website is planetprepro.com Maybe there is more info on the site.

I can't for the life of me remember who the client was when we went, who was the client yesterday? Seems like maybe it was Procter & Gamble when we went. I wish others would start doing the keycard thing, it would make things easier for sure! I know I read once a while back that they were using them in LA, maybe that is the one in the link csilvera mentioned.

Wow! That sounds like a great idea. We havent come across that yet. I know Melsky and House Productions have a computer set up which I like. Is it similar to that? I'm finding more and more places dont ask for headshots or resumes for commercials. They just snap their own picture and ask what your last job was.

They started this out in California a little while ago. The problem with kids is that so much of their info, including their look, change pretty quickly so it might not be of a great a value for the kids versus adults. Actorsmommy - my understanding is that it's not like what's a Melsky and House - theirs is really just a digital camera.

No, it isn't like Melsky or House. All of the info is already in the computer, so there is no paperwork to fill out. At least that is my understanding. As I said, we haven't been back there since we originally gave them the info. At that time, they took a picture of the front and back of her comp card and asked us to fill out a sheet with all her info that they would include in her profile. I believe they said that you could also contact them to update info if there are any changes that you want them to be aware of. I thought it sounded great, but seems like it would be a better service if it were some sort of main database that each casting office could access. Then anywhere you went, all they would do is swipe your keycard and all the info would be there for them.
