Sorry if that subject line is vague. I wasn't sure how to sum up my question.

My toddler is very small for her age, and lately I have heard of castings in which her size falls within the requested age range, even though she is older. But her agent never sends her. My friend says her son is often in the same situation and is sent out by his agent.

This may seem like nitpicking, but my dd is probably always going to be quite small for her age, and obviously I don't want her to keep missing out.

Does anyone know if my dd's agent is right in choosing not to send her (and therefore my friend's agent is just fudging the rules)? Or is my dd's agent following the breakdowns too strictly? Thank you for any insight!

Did you discuss this with your agent? Are your and your friend's son the same type?

I once asked about a gosee I'd heard about and was told "you have to trust us, she'll be sent to what's right for her." I left it at that, until I heard that another agent seems to do things differently. My friend's son is basically the same type, yes. Oh well - thanks for the reply.

as i agree with april16 that you should have trust in your agent, i also know its always a good thing in the biz to be a little shorter or look younger because you can be sent out for more stuff. It probably goes more for when the kids are a little older but it will be an advantage for your child at somepoint in his career.
