I received a call from "Baby Boomers" talent management to set up an audition for my daughter. (I was referred by a talent agency in Philly who doesn't handle children). Anyone ever heard of them or work with them? I live close to Philly and would love to find someone there first to see if my daughter likes the "biz" before we run to NYC every week. Any opinions??

My daughters have only gone on Philly auditions for the past 18 months, and I usually check the sign in sheet to see what agents/managers are representing the other kids. Baby Boomers is one of the top names I have seen listed. (But remember, this has been only for Philly---I don't know what connections they have in NYC)

They do have a website, but it's in conjunction with The Actor's Center in Philly. Sometimes you can really tell a lot about a company from their website, but not always. I guess it's worth a shot! Thanks!

I have recently joined Baby Boomers talent agency. They help children and teens book auditions and jobs when approached by casting directors. I just joined this winter, so I have not been called for any jobs yet, but its a wonderful place, give it a try!

We ran into a child model who lived near Philly on a shoot this week. She went through a NY agency though.

Drama, I submitted my daughter approximately a week and a half ago to 9 different agencies in NY and Philly (we live closer to Philly). So far, I've heard from 3 of the 9.

IMO, I would really think twice about meeting with Mary Anne Claro. She wanted to sign my daughters IMMEDIATELY, and said that they needed to be on her websight, for a "fee"---which was ridiculously high. Because my kids already had experience, she didn't push her acting classes on us, like she did with my neice. I told her I needed to think about it and walked out of her office. She has since tried contacting me several times to try to sign my girls. She almost sounded desperate! Did you see how many kids she represents on her websight? WOW!!~ There are many other agencies/management companies out there that are good. I would just think twice about this one.

lad I could help!
My dd's have 2 auditions today and tomorrow at Heery Casting, so I will look again at the sign in sheet to see what agencies are sending kids--and then I'll post tomorrow.
