Can someone tell me how a SAG strike will affect non-union members? Any info appreciated!

I don't think it will effect non-union actors. At least not where I live. It would effect the union actors where I live, especially when being a union member (of any acting union) will knock them out over half the projects already.

If there's a strike, there will be no union work of any kind. Not film. Not tv. So except for certain commercials and hosting jobs, it will be very very dead out there - for EVERYONE.

But it won't effect non-union actors. If you work for a non-union house, you'll still be getting work...or at least auditioning for it.

Correctamundo, avid.

Strikes are like manna from heaven for non-union talent.
