Willy is a great agency, so I would go for it. They have a modeling division and a talent management division (sends kids out for acting jobs, through agents, just like a typical manager). Many kids are repped in both divisions. You might want to go to the open call and let them know you are also interested in the talent management division because your son would like to pursue acting. The modeling alone can be good experience and fun and it's a good way to get your feet wet in the industry. BTW, in this biz, short seems to be good. Bottom line is...if a kid is the right size and has the look they want, the kid will book. GL.

Glad I could help! BTW...I'm not so sure there is really a "norm" in this biz! No two experiences will ever be exactly the same...so I guess that means that the anomaly is the norm. Anyhow, keep asking your questions and we'll help as much as we can.

you should definately try student or non union films to build up his resume...also, if you hear of any feature films looking for young boys, try out! you never know what could happen! you should always go for EVERY audition...even if your son doesnt get the part, he gets the experience, and can use it for future auditions! hope this helps!
