Nathan posted a note saying........

""""There are several discussions taking place on other industry message boards in reference to The Model Child. We are open to suggestions and have taken all of the questions and concerns into consideration. We have decided to open up the community to anyone who wants to join, without charge. We are willing to issue a refund to anyone who pre-ordered the book; requests can be directed to contact@themodelchild.com. (All community memberships will remain active after the refund.) Additionally we will be extending the voting until Midnight on May 17th and we will now announce our winner on May 21st. The community changes will take effect beginning tomorrow evening. As always I appreciate all of your support.
Thank you
Nathan Yungerberg""""

After they update the website....voting will be open and all access to the website as well..........

Hopefully this will clear up all the problems and everyone can move forward and think happy positive thoughts.........

Thank you. Estelle

He is doing the right thing.
The power of an open forum like this one has prevailed...Kudos to everyone who voiced their opinion,Because at the end of the day, all who disagreed with that paticular practice was right. It should have been an open site from the get go.Well done all.

Instead of chalking up a victory, can we give Nathan credit for being open & mindful to the suggestions of many of you on this site. Many business people make changes & enhancements in the early stages of developing their business. Photography is Nathan's primary background, not establishing websites, therefore I'm sure this has been a learning experience for him. I know many of you were very critical of his "business model" & after spending more time on this site I honestly feel that MOST of you are really just trying to help others avoid pitfalls. I appreciate that, however, his "business model" does not define him as a person and I can tell you from my own dealings with him that he is a true advocate for parents & children. Give him a chance to get the site in order and I'm sure you'll agree w/ me and the other moms who have been on board with The Model Child Community. And just for the record, my kids have not been to a convention, nor have we paid any suspicious fees. I bought the book because I have been out of the business for some time & I wanted to re-educate myself in order to make good choices for my kids. I've received the utmost support, helpful information & alot of encouragement from Nathan & not once has he asked me for anything in return. To me, my experience with Nathan speaks for itself & that's how I judge people...based on their own merit & character. Have a great day!

I am proud of Nathan. He is a class act. Not only has he opened up his site, he has stated he would give refunds to appease. Now everyone will be able to see what a fantastic person he is and how valuable he is to the industry. Smiler

I think it's really important that parents develop some skills to analyzing the business' they deal with, and realize they always have a choice. We do it everywhere else in life, don't we? If these conversations introduced or reinforced that concept for anyone, I think it's something everyone should feel good about.

I also respect Nathan for re-thinking some of his previous decisions. I hope that he is successful in providing good information that helps many families be successful, business minded, and safe.
