Do girls with long hair fare better with casting than girls with short hair? I have an 11 year old ds who does not look great in long hair (gets thin, stringy, etc). She has a great short hair look - an edgey, older look. In an effort to keep her versatile, at present, her hair is at chin length.. at which she looks much younger than her real age.... so which is better for casting - long, traditional, girlie look, or short, stylish/edgey, older look?

From what I have seen at various auditions the ability to look younger is extremely helpful. Plus it will give your dd more of an age range to be able to go for.
