Two people are interested in managing my 10-month old daughter. Bill Perlman of New Talent & Lois Miller of Star Talent. Anyone worked w/ either manager? Thanks!

You DO KNOW what a manager does correct?

I don't even see how ANY reputable manager would even look at a 10 month old baby.

Next you'll be posting that your 10 month old has a publicist...

Bill Perlman manages Ashley Tisdale who stars in "Suite Life." Lois Miller groomed her daughter (Lara Jill Miller) who starred in "Gimme A Break." So reputable managers do look at 10-month old children.

I'm being realistic.

You have 11 posts, she has 2.

10 Month old babies don't need managers, Agents MAYBE, but they sure as hell don't need a manager.

I call it like I see it and I smell something that should be in diapers right now.

you think just because you have a bunch of posts means you are the authority on the subject. You joined the same time I did! just cause you have nothing to do doesnt mean you are better than anyone? Arnt these forums to learn and ask questions?

Have you ever seen babies in print ads, commercials, movies etc...? Then babies have agents and babies have managers.

Maybe you should do some reaserch on what MANAGERS and AGENTS DO.

They are 2 totally separate jobs.

No, your 10 month old baby doesnt need a manager sorry

I know what an agent does. I know what a personal manager does. I know what a manager does. Here's my originial post: Two people are interested in managing my 10-month old daughter. Bill Perlman of New Talent & Lois Miller of Star Talent. Anyone worked w/ either manager? Thanks!
If you can't answer my question, no need for you to comment at all. Have a good day.

i dont know either manager, either. But as someone else said, if they ask for money, run away.
also, if you have a manager and an agent, both might demand and be owed money when your kid books a part. this could be as much as 25%... before taxes. (agents can only get 10%, but managers can charge or ask for whatever they want)
but if these managers have solid references and a track record for booking people in high paying parts, it might be worth it.
if you ask me, an agent will do. if you must go with the managers, i say keep doing what you're doing and keep asking around (call your local SAG or AFTRA office too). and if they ask for any money except for a small percentage, fuggedaboutit.

You need to find out how much work there is for 10 month olds in film and commercials. Usually they use twins because a 10 month old can only be on set for 2 hours. If you are just talking about more print work than your agent should be fine. (Also IF you do decide on a manager, make sure they get along and work well with your agent before you sign anything :-)
