If an audition notice asks for "2 candid photos (1 close up and 1 full body)" in addition to a regular headshot, what kind of pictures do they want? Thanks!

Candid means not posed. That doesn't mean snapshots. They still want to see a face and body type. Candid used to mean any 35mm photo as opposed to medium format, but now I would just go with non posed. Maybe find a friend that is camera savvy to help.
Take you child out in backyard with the sun shining on his/her back and take a bunch of pictures. Try not to get any with hands down to side, don't let them squint, have them wear something colorful, and just let them be a kid. Maybe something with a sibling, a dog, a toy.

Yes. Sometimes cd's get tired of parents sending in perfect candids, they just want to see the kid in a non-professional setting. Plus, they feel really guilty when a parent runs out and pays a professional a bunch of money and they don't end up picking them. (Not that that would happen to you). If you have a decent headshot, just pick a couple of pictures, in focus and colorful, where your kid is smiling and relaxed. Good Luck!
