Hi,

My daughter is 21 months, blond/red hair, blue eyes. We have only been sent on 2 or 3 go sees in the past six months. Is it just a slow season or do we need a new agency? Any thoughts? She was picked for BRUs, Parents Mag, etc. in the past.

Thanks!

I'm sorry I don't have the answer because we are new to acting/modeling however...I'm curious because it seems that there kids going on go sees and auditions that my kids aren't being called for. I'm not sure if it's different agencies that those kids belong to, or that the agent is very selective about sending kids out for work that they are a great match for, increasing their chances of getting it. Or is it our kids? Or the agents? I hope you get some good replies from the more experienced. Maybe things will start to pick up for your dd now that summer is here. Smiler

Something to remember is that the agency could be submitting your child's photo, but it's up to the CD to call them in. Try to set up a quick meeting to drop by the agency with your child, just to say hi and catch up. Take some cookies or brownies or something. You dont have to do that, it's just an idea. Many times that will triger the agent's memory, help them see your child again (because they change so quickly) and keep your child on their current radar.

What agency? Are they one of the biggies? Sounds like your child should be going out alot more to me.

no offence Karl, you probably mean well, but that kind of seems like you're bragging. I doubt you are but that's how I took it, hopefully, 0820 won't. Have a good day, I only replied to help Smiler

You might consider the fact that if your child was seen once for each of those companies, they may not need to see her again, because they already know what she looks like. We are from northern Cal, and Pottery Barn Kids is like that. Once they have seen the child, they do not want them to come in for go-sees again.

Are you still with the same agency you were with when your child booked BRU and Parents Magazine?

If yes, then I'm surprised you all haven't been sent out on more go sees in the past 6 months. Obviously, your child is "bookable" and IMO your agency should be eager to send your baby out.

Have you tried calling them just to check in? Are you sure they still have a good supply of photos? Maybe they need a more recent snapshot? You might call them just to make sure they have enough photos....this way you can check in, say "hi" and possibly get a feel for what's going on.
