I noticed a casting that was listed yesterday that is gone today. Do they remove them as soon as the submission deadline passes or do they get specific requests from the client to remove them if they have received enough submissions (or found their talent)?

I am assuming you are talking about the Burger King Neopets commercial. It was most likely removed as calls have gone out and the auditions are today.

Hi, I was wondering, what is everyone's success rate with NYcastings, not booking, but just getting asked to audition? I have never even been asked to audition for anything through there, but sometimes, when I submit for the same projects on Actors Access (this is of course AFTER I try using NYcastings), I will? Does this happen for anyone else?

I've had more success with nycastings than actorsaccess. I know others who have had more success with actorsaccess so I guess it depends.

BTW other people I'v talked to have experienced the same thing as you with submissions to both, and only hearing back from actorsaccess.

I've asked many of my customers about NY Castings over the years (not to be confused with NY Casting).

They generally prefer them 10-1 over the many similar online casting services now in business.

I have been advertising with them since the very beginning, and have found them to be both reputable and professional.

And some snaps must be given to anyone who is "first" in their field. It not only shows VISION, but that fact that they now have INDUSTRY CLOUT -- a proven track record -- is a quality I look for in any company.

“Whatever works.”

No, I was referring to the Rock Band 2 casting. It was there for one day, but I'm guessing it was removed because the submission deadline was the day it was posted.

I actually like both nycastings.com and actorsaccess.com...I guess it depends on what you are looking for?

I have not signed up a subscription to Actors Access so I can't say anything about them.

NYCastings is pretty decent for me. I love they have the mailbox although I also get the email sent by casting/producers to my regularly listed email addy simultaneously, so I don't miss overlooking any emails.

What is weird is I have to "trust" that my clicking my resume to some unknown hiring entity that they got my resume, because I don't get any confirmation, unless I get a phone call or email about auditioning or booking.

I am thinking of keeping it for now.
