How much pay will the talent get if the breakdown says "RATE: $500+15, USAGE: Regional cable buyout - 1yr"? Thanks!

Hi! It sounds like its non-union. If so, it should be $500 plus 15% over that for the agency. The one year buyout means you are taking a flat fee and nothing more for the work. In this case it would appear the buyout is included in the $500. So your total check would be $575 (more or less). Hope this helps!

inclusive of buyout = rate includes the buyout fee. It is a flat rate and you will not be paid any additional money.

Yes, this was non union. When we got the check from the agent it was for $425. I thought my child would end up with $500 since it included the 15% in the breakdwon. Can anyone explain? Thanks!

15% should have been deposited directly to the trust/Coogan acct by production. This would account for the $75.

My child doesn't have a Coogan account since it is not required here in Washington. I read in the contract that there is a 15% agency fee that is collected from the talent and the 15% fee that is collected from the client for non-union work. Is this normal? Thanks!
