I did my first commercial a month ago, and my parents and I, being very green to the biz and without an agent, are wondering when I should get paid. My parent's especially are getting antsy, I'm not in it for the money so I don't really mind, but I think my mom and dad are worried it might have gotten lost in the mail or something. So, my point is, should I gotten a check by now, a month after I worked? I don't think it seems like such a long time to wait, but my parents are wondering. Any thoughts appreciated!
I'm new, but learning--thank you everyone for your advice and patience!

If you're under 18, check out the child labor laws in your state. They will tell you when you're supposed to get paid. I know in NY, it's within 30 days if it's a one-day job and every 2 weeks if it's an ongoing job.

I'm not sure if your son worked in NYS or not but, if he did, he has to be paid within 30 days of the completion of the job. From the NYS-DOL website:
>>>>>When the employment contract is for 30 days or less, transfer 15% of gross earnings within thirty (30) days following the final day of the child performer’s employment. When the employment contract is for longer than 30 days, transfer 15% of gross earnings at the end of each payroll period.<<<<<<< {the payroll period is every two weeks}
