Question: I am new to this so need some insight. When your agency calls you for a casting do they give you all the details? Or do they just say here is the address? It is for print work?

Any time my daughter's been called for print, they tell us the name of the place, address, call time, and photographer. They also tell us what it's for and what to bring (if anything).

We usually get the name of the client, the studio and the time to be there. Sometimes they are so quick with the info and other times they have a bit more like shoot dates and pay. I would rather not know too much about the job so we don't get pur hopes up. Just go do the gosee and move on to the next. It's a bonus when they call with a hold or booking.

I don't think we have ever been told the name of the photographer for a gosee and rarely for the jobs or have been told to bring anything for a gosee. My kids have gone out an average of 2 times a week for the past 3yrs. Sometimes they mention how to dress, like upscale or casual.

Ok, still new to this. I got the name of the studio, time and place. I am sure when there I can ask one of the "nice" parents what the details are. I know they did ask if he had all of his baby teeth which he does so..... I will see when I get there!

I almost cried when I saw the casting notice for Hasbro, since I'd been at the same studio for Toys R Us last week. Man, driving in Jersey is a PAIN! Luckily, the notice said that if I was there was last week I didn't have to go. This is speaking from a potential fake mom perspective.

Optimistic: as a freelancer, I've learned that some agents give all the details, some you have to pry them out.

That is usually about all you do at a go-see. If it is a clothing company, sometimes they will have clothes to try on, but other than that the form/photo is pretty much standard.

Ok, they did have clothes there racks and racks, I imagine that was for something else. They did measure him, but it was 2 inches off (shorter)? The funny thing is it was 35 minutes drive there and 45 back and the time spent was so short. I had to laugh. The great thing was right after I dropped him off at school and continued my day. I wish I went earlier than I had planned to miss less time in school. Ah well hope all does well today!

That is why people on here are always warning those who live way out of the area who want to pursue this that you can drive for HOURS to be seen for literally 2 minutes. Fortunately you don't seem too far out and once you get a few go-sees under your belt, you'll be a pro at knowing how much time you'll need to get from place to place and the best way to schedule it. But just when you think you've got it all figured out, you'll have a go-see where you have to wait in line for two hours. UGHH!

LOL, Ok. I thought it would be more like H&M a 30-45 minute wait then a 3 or 4 minute go-see. I was there 30 minutes before the call time and thought I would have to wait, but nope they saw you as soon as you got there in and out. And No I was not too far from the Go-See.

alwaysabridesmaid is so right!LOL

anyway we had the same experience as optimistic and we got there in the afternoon. my experiences with that studio have always been very quick and positive. BTW, my daughter measured 2 inches too tall- she was happy to know by their measurements she can ride all the cool stuff at Disney! They measured and weighed with shoes on.
