I think people are reluctant to mention prices because they vary so much, and that's because Madelyn's programs themselves vary so much - there are one-day-3-hour classes, 2-days-total-6-hours classes, 6-week and 7-week classes, vacation week classes, etc., etc. But I think you can safely say that you'll pay about $45-50/hour for her classes. A little pricey but, from all I hear, worth it. My DD has only done the one-day workshops so far, and really enjoyed them. She's about to try her first 6-week class w/ Madelyn and is really looking forward to it. I'll be interested to see how the showcase at the end goes!

xoxoglossylips,
This has all been covered before in the other thread which you say you've read.
The cost of Madelyn's classes are on Par or CHEAPER than similar workshops you will find in NY and LA. TVI charges TWICE as much for their summer camp programs. There are lots of similar workshops like hers in LA and they all cost between 500-800 dollars. Some in the thousand dollar range during pilot season. Hers is at the low end of the range in price.
She has to pay Manhattan rent, a casting director, and often an accompanist for EVERY class to play/ teach for 7 weeks and then she is bringing in 10+ TOP agents at the end for her showcase to see the kids...many of who get picked up for representation. How much should she be chargting for such a class? A hundred dollars? If you are comparing prices, then keep in mind that other places are owner operated and so the owner is often the teacher as well. At Madelyn's, you are being taught by A list casting directors.
Your question is therefore not only redundant but down right silly. If you dont like the price of her class, don't take it. It's that simple. Frankly, your question with the dollar sign in the title looks like little more than an invitation for criticism of her business. How much do YOU think she should be charging? And since this has all been extensively covered before, why are we here again?
I can tell you that my own DD has taken classes here and they have been worth every penny. Her audition rate picks up tremendously after every showcase, my daughter has direct booked jobs right out of class and her skill set has increased ten fold. AND, I am not alone. Plenty of mothers in this forum also have had kids get offered representation or book jobs, or get Broadway auditions straight out of class.
But as I said, if you dont like what she charges, then dont take her class. It's that simple.

Here's also ONE example. I dont know what programs you say you've checked that dont charge as much but here is an example of ONE other great theater program in NY and they are charging DOUBLE what she charges: http://www.campbroadway.com/12to14.htmThere are lots more. Stagedoor manor is an incredible theater summer program that is quite expensive but is also excellent and top quality. The best coaches/teachers that do one week programs in Ny all also cost 500+ dollars. Go see what IPOP or JRP charge. And those places do not have great reputations. The dance program, The Pulse, is charging 500 dollars for a 4 day dance intensive in NYC this summer taught by the industry's top choreographers. They are affiliated with Broadway Dance, one of the best Dance schools in the world. My DD will be taking that workshops because it is fun and worth the money to be taught by The Best. If you want the best teachers, the best choreographers, exposure to the top agents etc. etc. then you are going to have to pay what they are worth.

I just wanted to give one last example. Diane Hardin, who I absolutely adore and who my daughter takes sessions with, charges 500+ dollars for her 5 day intensives. Now, make no mistake, Diane is worth every penny as far as I am concerned, but Diane is also One woman whose only expense is herself, her young assistant and the space she rents for the week (no long term rental commitments).
Madelyn's 4 day camps are taught by 4-5 A List casting directors and end with a ten agent showcase plus a party for the kids and cost THE SAME. If you are comparing prices here, then Madelyn's classes look down right cheap in comparison. Again, I am not pitting these two against each other because they are very different programs and I LOVE them both, but I am trying to put into some context what you are getting for the price you pay. And yes, I know I have made three consecutive posts on this subject but I have seen people unfairly tear this nice woman or her program apart at times without having a shred of knowledge about what the industry norm is in terms of pricing and quality or knowing what agents she brings in to her showcases. They are not small time agents.
