does anyone know anything about columbia college chicago's BFA acting program? or anything about the school at all?

also for the essay they want something about risk
is it too risky to write about how i didnt get into college?

Columbia College is a very good school for acting; comedy especially. They have a connection with Second City. My daughter has a friend who's going there in the fall - it's the only school he applied to and he's not a particularly energetic student and he got in. I know they have rolling admissions so you should try.

What about Muhlenberg?

About the essay... I'd only write about not getting into college if you took a big risk... like only applying to one school. Otherwise, you are calling attention to the fact that this is a second choice for you because you didn't get in elsewhere.

look at the discussion boards on collegeconfidential.com They often have good suggestions on what it takes to get into a particular program.

My daughter just did her first student film with a group from Columbia. They were really great to work with and they all had nice things to say about the school. Two of them went somewhere else last year and then switched.

does anybody know how big the acting program is?
