Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me with my little dilemma. Okay, recently I decided to do mailings to agencies here in LA just a few days before the Writer's strike ended and so far haven't gotten any responses. Was it wrong for me to send out mailings at that time? Was it smart of me to mail right before the strike? My original plan was to hope that they might be looking at pictures/resumes and getting in new talent to enhance their roster. If anyone could help, please feel free to respond. Thanks.

You did you part. Presumably you sent in a professional looking pakage, with a heashot, properly formatted resume and a brief cover letter. You researched the agencies and who within them you were going to send out to. Now, you just have to wait. I sent out my DD's packages about a month ago, and although I got the majority of the calls within the first week or two I just got another call on Friday. So there is no set response time; just sit back and hope for the best. And if you don't hear anything, try again in 6 mos.
Good luck!!!!
