Does anyone have any side info or tid bits that they can hand me about the Florida region? I would really appreciate it since I'm haveing a really hard time finding it on my own. Thanks!!

I doubt there's much to find-it's not exactly a hot spot for filming. That said, this woman casts everything that ever shoots in the Miami area, if you are near there. Small part principals, extras, everything. Mail her your headshot/resume and say you are willing to work as a local hire.

Florida -- Orlando in particular, was expected to be "the next Hollywood," but it never actually turned out that way.

Disney and Universal are essentially the only two majors who "rule the roost" down south, but in reality, if you want a career in film and television, LA's the place.

I used to work in Florida. Got my union card there, in fact. As LAdelight said, Lori Wyman does cast a lot of the work that is down there, along with Ellen Jacoby. Both good people. Both in Miami.

I had to move to Los Angeles to make a living.

Thank you for all your advice and I will deffanetly take it all into consideration...but I was actually interested in theater. Does anyone have any info on that?
