Off of my submissions I got an email from Stella Lane at the Action Talent Agency. Her note was that she doesn't see people unless they have taken a commercial class. She gave me a few places to look into and said to call her for an interview once I have taken a class.

My question, is this standard or regular for an agent. Is Stella and Action Talent a reputable agency? Does anyone have experience with them they can share?

I got that same letter response after mailing my headshot and resume a few months ago!

I have also received the same message, and I have both commercial training and experience on my resume...

Has any one cross checked the names of the companies she mentions? Curious to see if they're all in the same building.

Those commercial classes are real and have good reputations.

I got that same stupid letter! She said I had not taken ONE commercial class. I politely responded that I have in fact taken a class from one of the best places to take a commercial class and that it was on my resume. She rudely responded, making fun of that place and how her agency isn't fond of "big box training facilities".

It's probably a crappy agency. She's lucky to have a client based on the way she rudely mass emails people. She also posts on Craiglist! What a loser!
