I'm looking at the site from the banner at top. Never heard of that one. Any good?

I would say that a group called "StarNow" will never be good. Any place that concentrates on you becoming a "star" and not a working actor (or just getting a job) is just out to sucker you.

Me thinkist the limb is getting mighty crowded.

No, they're sponsoring BSW by paying for the ads. I don't think BSW "endorses" this site, even though they are perfectly willing to take their money(which comes from naive actors). It's the same thing with those ads for "seminars" at the Church of Scientology that are on almost every page of the BSW newspaper version.

Of course, actors themselves will "sell out" when they appear in a commercial for wal-mart, coke, or any evil corporate entity they have a moral objection to.

It's tough to keep a healthy conscience in this biz.

we have star now in australia (im assuming its the same). you can see the castings which come up on it without joining.. they generally advertise jobs which are readily available elsewhere on the internet for free; mainly student films and "competitions" etc... definately not worth paying for a membership
