Who has done Sam Christensen's workshop? Is it worth the money?

Did you go to his free class (if he still offers it)? Are you sure you can't figure out your type without spending the money? How much is the class?

You can ask how your headshots "read" on the headshot section of this board for free.

I did go to his free preview a couple months ago. I was interested in the class but didn't want to spend the money at the time (I think it's around $800.) But they just had a thing where if you "Like" their page on Facebook you were entered to win a discount. They just emailed me and told me I'm one of ten people to win $200 off a workshop. So now I'm suddenly a little interested again. I'd like to hear from someone that went through it whether they found it beneficial.

ABSOLUTELY!

When I did it years ago, I couldn't afford to take the workshop. Sam let me take the course and allowed me to make monthly payments until it was paid off.

Sam and Ken run the studio. They are super supportive, even after I have finished the workshop. They are always available to mentor and help me get to where I wanted to go.

Sam is very honest, which helps everyone else open up.

It was scary at first, but then very quickly I was able to overcome that fear and participate 100%. I felt like the entire room was rooting for my success.

I still have the packet form when I took the workshop and I still find the information useful today.

DO IT!

Cool

I took the class earlier this year. Honestly, I highly recommend it. If you are hoping to come away with "a type" you will be disappointed. That is not really what the class is about. I think the idea of type is pretty limiting as far as what you will learn. Just as a person, I found the class very helpful. As an actor, it has helped access parts of myself that I was afraid of. I already noticed in working that understanding these aspects of my personality, and embracing them is pretty key to understanding what I can bring to things as a whole. The class is difficult to explain, so this may all seem cryptic, but trust me. And if you have a discount for it, even better. I cant recommend it highly enough. Its 4 days, but they stick with you. If you can afford it, do it, I say.

There is no way to justify $800 for 4 days of classes in this industry. No way.

I agree. I would use the $800 for something else.

I value the information and knowledge gained through this workshop. I also met met a lot of wonderful people, who are still in my life today.

For me it was well worth the $800. Some things you just can't put a price tag on.
