So does anyone know of any decent acting classes or coaches in las vegas? I'm fed up with all the scams here.

Sorry for the late reply but I didn't see anyone reply to this until today. I know Rusty Meyers. I'll take him up on his offer to audit his class as soon as I can. Thanks again.

There are none worth a damn in Vegas. Trust me. I lived there for eight years. Save your money for LA or NYC- You'll need every cent!!!

LOL. Miss Stone, please quit holding back and tell us how you feel. Joking. I have felt the same way for some time and am hoping to be in LA soon. Just looking for classes locally in the meantime.

Haha and once you take a bunch of those acting classes you should audition for a las vegas show! Definitely some good actors in those shows.

Those shows mostly require strong dancers and singers. In the case of the Cirque de Soleil shows acrobatic and gymnastic skills as well. Actors lose out in Vegas in regards to shows. Gotta be a triple threat.

Don't worry- you will get enough lies and bullshit when you move to LA. Noone will ever tell you anything straight out there. Then you will embrace my honesty and to the point advice. Or you will become assimilated and become a pod person. Roll Eyes

I have a house there. Lived there on and off since 1999. There is no good acting classes- I am telling you. Save your money. You could do some improv through the guys at this place-

www.improv-vegas.com

and they are really good but that's it.

Las Vegas isn't the best place to find exceptional acting classes, in spite of all the entertainment in the city. You might try L.A. - there's lots of good ones there.

I realize that this is an extremely old post, but I wanted to reply to it anyways haha.

Vegas is a horrible place to try and find acting classes and coaches, but it is a pretty decent place to find a lot of Improv classes, which I think are just as good.

I'm an aspiring actress myself, right now, and while I'm saving up to move myself out to Los Angeles and get some work and more classes out there, I'm currently searching for some improv classes and acting coaches here. So far I'm not finding too many acting coaches that seem legit, though. ]:

When you live in outlying areas, you often have to "make do" with what you have.

That often entails doing work that you don't want to do and putting up with things you don't want to, either. But is there anything more tragic than unrequited love?

You can supplement your film acting work with live theater or with related jobs like print modeling, generally expanding your talents and training to include as many entertainment experiences as you can until you're old enough to "hit the big time" in larger markets. I knew an Elvis impersonator in Vegas who performed many a wedding before finally embarking on a successful singing career of his own.

Remember: Johnny Carson was born in Nebraska. But one day he left.

If you are looking for a great acting coach you should try John Armond. He is an actor that has actually worked with big actors and studied with the best teachers like Stella Adler. I studied with him before I moved to Los Angeles. He use to teach out of a school but now he has his own class. He is a tough coach but he is real and doesn't tell you what you want to hear. His students have gone on to work in Los Angeles on tv show and commercials. I love him and really wish he was out here.
