Hi,

I have a 12 year old son and we are looking for suggestions for audition songs. Can anyone help us?

What is he auditioning for? What style of music? What is his range?

If it's a well-known production, I would suggest singing somethign from the show. Otherwise, try to find something that showcases his vocal abilities and reflects his age range.

We are going to the Grinch auditions as are all of you (probably!) His voice hasn't changed yet. I do theater too but obviously I sing girls songs and can't think of too many 12 year old boy songs. Will probably do something he knows but I am looking for ideas for the future too. Thanks!!!

One thing to know about the Grinch auditions - it's all about HIGH ENERGY. My DD who made it to the end of the auditions last year was saying this very thing this morning to her sister who will be going to the open call next week!

Great although my son has a lot of talent we will have to work on the high energy thing!! Thanks for the advise! He can juggle though so we hope that will help.
