hello back stage message board readers! I am so lost in this! I am currently looking for representation but no one agency, rep or management seems to like my look, or maybe find me to be the right look but as I look at the TV/FILM/Commercials I see people of all ages, sizes, frames and facial features.

I have formal acting and dance training, great headshots, bi-lingual, I have booked work on my own, I have a website and I am in NYC!

so yeah, lol -I am so confused?

How can I find rep? please help. look at my website so you can see my pics and maybe you can help me figure out my look? perhaps help me into figuring out who I can approach?

my website is: www.FarrahOlieri.webs.com

Like I said, I am really confused. thanks for all the help you all can give me! Wink

Do you have any actor friends with agents who can give you a referral to their agent?

Have you gone to Actor's Connection, One on One or Network East to audition one on one for agents?

Have you mailed a h/r to all the commerical agents in town?

These are things I would do in NYC. A commerical agent is easiest to obtain.

yes, I have submitted h/r, BUT i have not done the actors connection, one on one or network east.

i have some actor friends, but we are not that close. so I don't feel to comfortable asking them for a referral, but I guess I am going to have to "man-up" and ask. :/

but thanks so much for the ideas!
thanks!

I suggest you go to actor's connection, one on one or network east (Check out their websites) and pay for a seminar where you audition for agents one on one.

I am freelancing with a commerical agent I auditoned for at Actor's Connection. It costs $39. It sucks to pay to be seen, but it works for alot of actors in the city.

If you don't feel comfortable asking for a referral (and remember, the actor you are asking for a referral is putting their name on the line by referring you) then your best option is to pay to be seen.

Mailings sometimes will get you an interview, but it is not a sure thing.

At least someone is seeing your work at a pay to be seen seminar.
