I'd be interested in hearing more feedback about this topic as well. By the way, fyp, I prefer Nina. I think my name is really boring and I've actually found people that have the same exact name as me, middle name and all. Besides I don't think my name fits me very well. Anyway, I was thinking about different possiblities. If one were to adopt a stage name, should it be just any name that they hear and like that fits well together, or should it have special meaning? And if they hear it somewhere does it matter where they hear it? Like, should they stay away from any names that celebrities/directors/producers already have? Example, I like the name Brittany Cassavetti, but Patrick Cassavetti is a producer. Or would changing the first name be more accepted? Breanne, for example. Just thoughts

Honestly, I dont think anyone should change their name unless its necessary. If you look italian and your name is jerry himowitz, ok, change it. I, unfortunately have the same name as another actor, (Nick Nolte), so I have to change it. If your name doesn't 'FIT' you, then go ahead, but if you simply don't like it, well, it would be better than having a name that isn't really yours.

Nia Arcenaux or Nina Arcenaux
They sound like stage names. A bit contrived. I think a good stage name is one, where you notice only later:"Ah, that's his/her stage name! Sounded so real!"

Maybe you have such a pretty name. But lots of people run around as tongue twisters in disguise as actors. Have you ever known what it means to have your name misspelled ALL THE TIME. MISPRONOUNCED, with the most ridiculous errors, like intentionally insulting... My last name is short, but you'd need to be very creative to get all those different spellings I had to endure. I almost feel like a multiple personality. One for each misspelling!

Well, am a going to be nice, or honest? Nicely... think more about other names, more simple ones, that don't sound like someone who wants to appear as an Italian/Spanish princess. Also: you're inviting the misspellings and executions through mispronounciations that many people are trying to escape by getting stage names. Go for somethign simple. This is why I like Elizabeth Allen best, but I don't like the other names. Why Allen? Like Woody Allen? Why not barren Allen. Or desert Allen. I mean, I like woods, too... enough! I'm falling out of this topic...

Like, Nick Nolte, that's huge. I don't know of any Elizabeth Allens. But what I mean is, people might be like, "Oh, that's Nick Nolte, well, he's not the real Nick Nolte, but he's blah blah blah." You get the picture.
EXACTLY!! I always get , "are you related to him?", or "is he your dad?" Sometimes, I contemplate homicide! hehe.
