Does anyone know about "The" pronounced "Tae"?

They had an open casting call in Vancouver Wa. and my daughter got an invitation to attend. IT is pretty expensive about $3800 just to attend the convention for 3 nights not including air or food.

It sounds like a racket to me does anyone know about this company?

Here is the link to the site...

Yikes! Save your money, take some snapshots of your dd, research cover letters on this board, send pictures and a cover letter with postage. That's the best way to start. Also read, read, read, read. I can't express this enough, do your research! You will find out so much information and like the saying goes; knowledge is power!

Good luck! Smiler

ooooh anything thats that expensive is probably just a ploy to get as many people to go and pay as possible..

here's my little anecdote: when i was 16, i made my mom take me to Model Search America (ha! i look back and laugh..) and got past the first open call, invited to attend the weekend seminar in DC. Now, I mayyybe could have been a print model, but other than that, at 5'2" theres NO reason i should have ever been involved in a model search! (but i didnt know any better.)

There were hundreds of people there, and many who were in the same boat as me. obviously not the model type. after paying a ton of money for the "seminars" and being seen by all of the agents/managers there, probably only 15 people got "called back" for interviews, out of the hundreds. it was obviously a scam..

i dont think any of those things are legit.. but i learned my lesson!!
