Yes, I've seen it happen more than once and it just happened to me last week. Woo hoo!

What qualifies as a "Featured Extra" ? I've heard 2 classifications. One, is that the actor has got to say at least one line (which I thought that qualified as "principle") and someone else told me that if the camera is focused on an extra in a closeup-- long enough for anyone to notice you(say, 2 seconds)--that THAT can be considered a featured extra role. Two of my kids were cast as extras in a ff, but during shooting the director had them in a much more prominent non-speaking role. They even shot a few closeup scenes with one of the lead characters. The trailer has been releaased, and my girls have been seen in it several times, with 2 closeups. Do you think they might get listed as, say, "frightened girl in the field" in the credits ? If the scenes DO make the actual film (who knows---I heard they can show scenes in trailers that are cut from the actual film), can they be paid more money, or is it after the fact? Any insight would be appreciated--we're still pretty new to this!
