Hey everyone,
Has anyone ever attended an intensive at "Making It On Broadway" (I guess that's what it's called)? The website makes it look really good, but I've never heard of it.
Here's a link to the website:

I've heard about this. Now, I'm no expert, but I figure if they're getting Jason Robert Brown in, it can't be all bad.

Well I can tell you that I am taking this intensive this summer in NYC, and I was referred to it by a girl I met on YouTube.

She told me it was wonderful, that she learned so much, left with so many new auditions pieces, and auditioned for casting directors.

Jodie Langel, the founder, has been on Broadway herself, and has told me that the casting directors of Spring Awakening and Disney Theatricals will be there this summer, and that they will cast people from the intensives!

Jodie has also published a book of the same name, Making It On Broadway, and its filled with stories from Broadway actors: their first move to NYC, first jobs, best/worst auditions, etc.

I actually have recruited a couple of myspace/youtube friends who are taking the intensive as well.

I talk to Jodie all the time, and she is very sweet and so encouraging. Once I take the intensive, I will try to post about my experience.

Thanks for all the info and good luck with the intensive! Now I'm thinking of taking it.

You should read the book, as well. It has nothing to do with the class, but it is really fantastic and shows the absolute reality of Broadway.
