If you are new, I'm sure you have heard of many books that have agents listed and so on.

Well one THE RIGHT AGENT by Keith Wolfe is a TOTAL SCAM

DO NOT GET IT...AND DO NOT SIGN UP WITH HIS PROGRAM

his book, first off has old agents, wrong adress, and is sometimes very hard to tell what agent is in what department...he doesnt keep up with it at all.

his program...he says he is a "consultant" and will help you land an agent..its a 4 month program for $400....i was dumb, didnt research and signed up..

he did write me a letter...that had NUMEROUS ERRORS IN IT. spelling, and times he didnt hit the 'space' key so there were no spaces in between words...

he told me 4 different times that he would have an agent in his office, but he kept pushing the date back and back until there was never an agent in his office..EVER

he said he'd tape an audition piece of me to send to agents....but NEVER DID THAT EITHER

he said he'd follow up and call each agent until he got me in front of them..NEVER HAPPENED

he didn't get me in front of ONE AGENT

he hardly ever writes back to emails or has a phone conversation with you

he tells you to send him a list of agents you sent to and he adds some or takes away some...

on of the first letters i got was to JERRY PACE AGENCY

which if you dont know is one of the WORST AGENCIES in town...it has a very shady work ethic..

it's a TOTAL scam..

please take my experience with this as a warning and dont get suckered.

oh hun im sorry you got sucked into that sh!t. I guess his last name says it all. you know what you should do??? go online to the better business bureau and write a complaint. that's how you can help ppl not fall for his crap again. they will stop this guy once he receives complaints. go to bbb.com seriously its the least you can do to get even with him since he stole ur money. please do it. for everyones sake. we need these first class A HOLES out of business.

I will no doubt go ahead and right a complaint there.

Man, these stories really piss me off. I'm very sorry this happened to you. But let's look at the positive. You learned a valuable life lesson and you will be much more cautious in the future.

And more importantly, you didn't just sit home whining about it. No. You got on this message board and put the word out. That's called taking positive action and while it may not get you your money back, it might save some other unfortunate actor from getting sucked into this mess. So good for you!

IT TAKES TIME TO DEVELOP A CAREER AND AS OUR NEEDS CHANGE THE PEOPLE WE NEED IN OUR BUSINESS CHANGES. I had an entirely different experience with Keith Wolfe. I needed an
agent and I went to Keith for help. Keith introduced me to several
agents and I landed an excellent agent that I am very happy with. Keith
put it in writing if I was not accepted by an agent who I agreed to let
represent me, he would refund my fee in full. Keith did exactly what he
said he would do. Speaking from my experience, Keith Wolfe is not a scam
and I found his book The Right Agent to be accurate and very
encouraging. I understand how frustrating it can be not to have an
agent. "I was there" until I went to Keith for help. I highly recommend
Keith Wolfe's services to anyone needing an agent.

why would you need "over three agents" and if you have "over three agents" why would you need to meet with two more.

Just to let you guys know. I myself used Keith Wolfe's services and landed one of the best Agencies in town. He is NOT a scam and is one of the nicest people i have met. I highly recommend him!

I see a lot of newbies responded. Any "oldies" who can give their good and bad on this guy ?? I never heard of him so can't comment.

I've never gone to this guy, nor do I know anyone who has, but it's always a bad sign when someone has three defenders and it's the only post for all of them. Gosh, might it be that person creating 3 different logins to make it look like more people? This is evident in the "Doug Bennett-Don Gerler Agency" thread elsewhere on the boards.

I do know this guy pimps his "services" in those outdated Samuel French Booklets("The Casting Directors," "The Agencies," etc.). Every newbie in LA dying to get an agent or meet CDs picks one of those up, so he's certainly marketing to the right audience if he wants to scam people. I haven't the slightest idea what his "career consultancy" can do for actors. Target your mailing? We can do that ourselves, thanks. Get a call from the Jerry Pace Agency? Yeah, got that anyway.

This guy bills himself as a casting director and the "Secret Agent Man" has never heard of him. I'd have to say proceed with caution here.

Hi, I had a really good experience with Keith Wolfe.The 400 was refundable , but eventually I didn't need to , because I signed with an agent.
Aimee Entertainment, 45 days after I met Keith.
Keith is a very nice person and very easy to work with.And indeed,I also met Jerry Pace and I told him I did not want to sign with him and he said, ok I will introduce you to other agents.I met with David Moss and then with Aimee Inc and I finally signed with Aimee, which is great.Keith Wolfe is not a fraud-and believe me, I reasearched everything about him.The good thing is you actually get 15 min with an agent every 2 Saturdays and you can have a scene or a monologue.I hope this is of help to people , but the easiest way is to ask Keith.Oh, and the contract states that the money will be refunded, so don't worry about that !!!I spent 10 times more with seminars , showcases and sending headshots...so, to me , Keith was The Answer.

Okay, hold the phone. You met with David Moss? HOW did that happen. I heard he is amazing. And yet you went with someone else and were also meeting with bottom of the barrel agencies like Jerry Pace etc? What gives????? This post makes no sense to me.

Hmmmm. I make a point about that only 3 people defending the guy are one-post wonders, and whattaya know...a fourth shows up. It's like a computer program creates a new profile and post whenever a negative post comes in. Sorry, but I'm guessing that whole story about Moss and Aimee was a fabrication-probably by Keith or his assistant. "Keith was The Answer." Who would say such a thing-about anybody?

I eagerly await the next brand-new poster with their story that reads like one of those testimonials on the back of his booklets.
