Hello. I am new to everything here, but I was hoping someone would be kind enough to help and give pertinent advice. I am interested in commercial work. I want to get involved in commercial classes and a theatre clubs. Will commercial Casting directors cast someone with no credits? If I only take the classes and get involved in community theatre is that enough to put on a resume? Would someone even consider a person with no headshot or an extensive resume? In addition I am not looking for representation because that is near impossible, but should I consider extra work? I mean is it all through referrals? anyone recommend seminars or showcases? I am also aware that some LUCKY people get represented by commercial agents without any experience or training, but does it seem wise to go into this without doing anything that could help me have a better chance? by the way i'm female, 21 live in ny(queens). I know its alot of questions but I feel while browsing through other ppl questions the specific thing I wanted answered was not. any comments would be appreciated. thanks in advance!
