I know a few people who have taken his classes and they all liked the classes very much. But, even when taking a commercial class, it's best to take another set of commercial classes from another instructor, to gain more perspective and to help you learn what will work best for you. As with any acting classes, the more instructors you have and techniques you learn, the more you will help yourself become a stronger, more confident actor.

I also several years ago took tepper gallagos on camera commercial class.
What a bitch! How is Tepper Gallegos? I've heard good things about it.

They do have a showcase of casting directors come aftre the classes are done for the session does mike have that?
Hey, I Saw Your Commercial is also taught by a working Commercial Actor as well. He does have a Commercial Agent Showcase usually twice a month and invites some of the best Commercial Agencies.

Before taking Hey, I Saw Your Commercial, I've taken commercial classes taught by casting directors. I thought it was limiting because it was more what they like as opposed to what everyone else in general likes. HISYC is taught by a working commercial actor. I like it better because he teaches a more global approach than a limited casting director's view.

The only complaint is some stupid credit card debacle that I'm sure Mike handled professionally and was posted by the same immature person on multiple forums, even on some forums that have no relevance.
How exactly does he prey on naivety and optimism of actors? In my years of studying with Mike, I've NEVER heard him make ANY guarantees or false promises. Yes, he inspires a positive attitude in his class, something that every actor needs to persevere in this industry. He HELPS actors to succeed, NOT overhype them and let them fail! He doesn't just teach commercial technique, he teaches the industry and business side as a whole, something that a lot of schools don't really teach.
I've studied at many other prestigious schools such a Stuart K. Robinson, Carolyne Barry, TVI, and various casting directors before Mike's class. I can say that everything that he teaches is NOT b.s. and not some overhyped class. Actually after studying with him, I've now gotten call backs at virtually every commercial audition I've been on since taking his class as well as a higher ratio of bookings compared to before. This NEVER happened before studying at Hey, I Saw Your Commercial! So I owe Mike a great gratitude for helping me.

I also take Mike's class, I am in Level 2. If you want to know why he is on rip off report call him and ask him, he is very willing to tell you exactly why his name is there. He is ALWAYS very upfront about what he offers and actually goes beyond that. He is also very upfront about his payment policy and payment plans so ther should never be any confusion. It would be helpful if you shared your experience with Mike and why you say stay away.
