I recently received an email that stated that New Star had viewed my profile here on backstage and that they wanted me to do a photo shoot for 5 days in Miami with paid travel/lodging and pay of $5200, but I was requested to send $600 to reserve my spot that I would get back once I arrived in Miami. Tell me what do you all think of this.

NO WAY. This has scam written all over it. A model never has to pay anything upfront to work. Sorry, you will send your $600 and never hear from them again. You should report them to Backstage.

I don't think I've ever mentioned this here, but I am a wealthy African businessman. Actually, I’m trying to get my money out of the country, but I need an American to help me. I'm willing to give you ten-million dollars if you help me, but I need you to fist send me a mere $5000 processing fee so I can get all my money out.
Oh, and I have a bridge to sell you too.
Yes, the Miami thing is a total scam.

When I was in middle school, this big budget movie was shooting in town and they actually wanted money from you, if you wanted to be in it.And then there was either Ring 1 or 2 and the extras co. was charging people if they wanted to be in it, and then the co. was ordered to pay back the actors who gave the casting co. money.

Well I am a starving actress and need every penny I got to drive my kids around in our minivan. I just thought that it was crazy that they thought I was stupid enough to try something so desperate.
