i'm in acting class right now but I'm thinking in November of taking a workshop in the actors Green Room or actors connection.

It says that we'll get the script a couple days ahead of time. Should I have it memorized? how should i prepare for the workshop? please help anyone who attended a weorkshop

One class isn't going to prepare you.

You need to take a really good cold reading/auditioning class if you really expect to do well at casting director workshops.

As far as getting the sides in advance. You should NOT focus on memorizing it. You should focus on the specifics ie. what's going on in the scene? who are you and what's your relationship with the other person? environment? what do you want? tactics? etc. When you have those specifics nailed, the lines will come to you.

During the showcase, you should have the sides in your hand. What if you or your partner skip a line or flub a line? Or the cd asks you to switch roles? Or the cd re-directs you?
