Craziness, I tell you... craziness! Did anyone see Ashlee Simpson in that role in London?

At first, the thought makes me cringe, but not as much as the thought of Ashlee Simpson. Are the Broadway producers that desperate for patrons that they'll hire any schmuck with a publicist?

But then again, perhaps Nicole Richie would not be as horrendous as Ashlee Simpson. After all, her dad's Lionel, so she probably grew up with all sorts of musical training and her publicity just doesn't focus on that background. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised for a change.
