Maybe you should look at the other issue on this board about how much money people make when working towards an acting career and not being border discussion agents. Many people don't make enough money to take care of fellow human beings and can only worry about their immediate family. You sound like you are on here to blaze an argument for people to pay tax dollars to care for people when the tax budgets are somewhat maximized and the family budgets are paying for life and for retirement savings as a reward fro life.

There is an article in the Colorado Springs newspaper talking about the police department being at a saturation point having all oficers out on calls when calls are coming in fifty percent of the day. Most americans are not wanting new taxes to pay to care for an illegal in this country when that money could be in their own stock portfolios or 401k for later in life or for that matter a dinner at chili's trying to make a girl interested enough in you to have sex with you after dinner. Most people will think the sex is more important than taking care of someone born a few m,iles south of the border and will need the money to pa7y for the little one they produce when they forget the darn condom.

I think that there are a LOT of things that our tax dollars go to that could be bettter spent elsewhere. Billions and billions of dollars not chump change. There are some people who believe that ALL they money they make should do only to serve their own purposes, not to help anyone else. Those people do not believe that they have an obligation to their fellow man, and well they may be right. I don't think they are. I think that if those people stopped and thought of why they have what they do, and how they make and keep the money they make and keep, they might think twice about how the poor got poor. Everyone reading this board EVERYONE (probably)(including myself) has stuff in their house right now that was made in China. Possibly by children, but almost positively for a sub-standard wage. They would also get upset when the Chinese mom, dad, daughter or son came here to better their standard of life WHY......because it might hurt theirs. IT IS NOT THE PEOPLES FAULT!! It is the governments/corporations fault (really the slash is just there for semantics). We will be better off when we stop thinking along national borders and start thinking along humanity. Until that time we will get NOWHERE. We will have wars, hunger, rich, poor. we will have Mexicans slaving in the fields so Americans can have cheap lettuce, cheap wine etc. We will have Native Americans swept under the rug. We pay the highest gas tax in Westchester county in order to support the county run hospital and other programs.

I can tell you from inside information that they do use the hospitals don't pay the huge bills they run up and they disappear because there is no way to track them. Hence someone has to pay the bills to keep the hospitals open so you and me do it in the form of high taxes.

Me I used the ER ran up a $3,000 bill and since I am legal and have a so called paper trial to track me they set up a payment plan oh yes be legal in the old good USA and get screwed by doing the right thing and pay your fare share.
