I used to make 3D photos, using lasers. In the eighties I used to do this.
Back then, I thought, surely in a while someone will come up with a little home apparatus that deals with all the problems of vibration, etc and makes it easy for ANYONE to make a hologram. Plus, a way to filter colors (as in the early days of 2D photography) so that you could actually end up with something like a 3D color photo.
Here we are, decades later, and... nothing.
Any ideas why? Or what progress has been made in that area?
