I'm in need of a place in L.A. starting around August 1st -- either a 1BR or roomy studio. Really need hardwood or tile floors (no carpet), and would like to be within easy access of one of the Metro lines, but otherwise am pretty flexible.

My budget is ~$1,200/month, and I have cats.
