There are writing gigs. You might look around at freelancers' sites. One site was offering something like $20 an article. Not great, but more than nothing. In general, though, such work is very hard to find (I've gotten it at times, but only after working on-site for a while). Above all, be aware that there are innumerable scams out there and don't get roped into any "Work from home" schemes. Almost any job that screams that in the title instead of focusing on the work itself is probably a scam. And if you look at the actual posting and see a long, long list of types of people who supposedly qualified to this job, that's a very bad sign. Nor should you ever pay ANYTHING ("sign-up" fees, "materials charge", etc.) to do work. Otherwise, what are your skill sets? That might prompt people to specific suggestions.
