OK, so you get to start your own religion, and then, better yet, you get enough followers so that you can actually influence legislation (strange but true - this has actually HAPPENED... somewhere).

What existing laws would you change, and on what religious basis?

What new ones would you enact (and ditto)?

Mr. Speaker, it is my pleasure to present before this august Congress new legislation entitled "Spare Not the Rod for Spoiling the Child". Simply put, parents who allow their children to run amuck and disturb other diners, kick the backs of booths, and trip waitresses carrying trays of food and hot coffee in restaurants may be spanked themselves upon a majority vote of the other diners present. Please also note the rider in Section VIa which specifies ten swats with a wooden spoon for any parent who allows their dependant child to wear white after Labor Day. It's time this great nation returned to some semblance of tradition and good taste. Thank you.

Best regards,
Joe
