But risky as hell of course. There's been other less inspiring stories of people who befriended wild animals, then suddenly had them turn on them or even.... eat them.
I'm glad this one turned out as beautifully as it did. But in a general way, part of respecting and loving animals is acknowledging that that's what they are - not playmates for human beings, but creatures with their own logic and lives.
As one Alaskan native said after Timothy Treadwell was eaten by the grizzlies he'd "befriended", "We respect the bears as bears - but we don't try to be part of their world." (Or words to that effect.)
Since my computer doesn't allow me to get onto youtube, I can only assume you are talking about the lion and the two roommates being reunited. It is a great story. I saw the video a few years back. It really is an interesting story! I can't believe they raised the thing in London! Great story, but yes, wild animals are just that, wild animals. I raised a wolf when it was just a pup, but as it got older, it became very territorial, and I had to put him to sleep. Sniff.

Maybe I am sick of people not seeing the sweetness in life and the world around us.It is a beautiful video. Watch it as if you were still a child and were not yet jaded by the world around you. Too much of that in LA especially.

There are links off of that clip to someone who has posted the documentary in its entirety to youtube (in 10 chunks)... if you have an hour and a half to sit clicking around youtube like i do, it's definitely worth the watch.

There are stories from thousands of years ago that get rehashed too. Some things are just too precious and timeless and we need them to remind us of how beautiful life can be. Poor Avid Actor needs a cuddle....

Avidactor and Miss Stone... there's a movie in that somewhere.
Watch as the fiery passion ensues between two people who met on the message board of a popular acting website. What started as a verbal slinging match, soon became a raging internet affair so hot- no censors could touch it. The Avid Actor and Miss Stone- burning soon into a theatre near you.
